Uncertain Future

Uncertain Future

A Poem by Yoshiyuki
"

i am a paranoid person. i always wonder if I will make it in society. So far society doesn't welcome me with open arms. People always tell me how weird I am or how I should grow up.

"
On the window seal I sit
Watching the cars pass by
Time flows slowly
The wind flows through my hair
The paths to my future intrigue my hungry mind
The path I am taking scares me
But it is a path I want to take
Thoughts roll through my mind
What if I fail?
What if I fall and can't get back up?
What if my creative mind can't lead me to my future?
Can I handle the truth?
Only time will tell
All I can do is watch
Watch as the cars drive off to their future
While I sit and think
Never moving on

The honesty behind the words shine through. It's more personal thought than poem, and the lack of elaborate wordplay and phrasing does it good when it comes to the subject of the piece.

Very nice, and it's neat to find another writer on Maui. I'm upcountry.
