Wish To Save A Life

A short poem about a life to be saved.

I stare at the ring I gave to you 

As I sit by your side

I think back at all the memories we had

Looking back at them I realized

I had so much to thank you for

I realized how much you taught me

You gave me hope for a better future

You always were there when I was in pain

Even when we fought 

You were there looking after me

Making sure I never did anything stupid

Those times we stared up at the stars

I never knew how much those times meant to me

Till I could never experience them

I promise when you wake up

I will watch them with you

Even though I always told you it was boring

I thank you for being there when I needed you most

But still even when I had the chance to save you

I couldnt do anything

So I am sorry for not being there for you

If thanking you would save your life

I would thank you for saving my life

I would thank you for giving me the chance 

For a better tomorrow

I would thank you for all you mean to me

But sadly thanking be nothing if I couldnt say it to you

So I must wait

For the day you wake up
