Lost

Lost

A Poem by Yoshiyuki

They say a child's heart is one that is easily manipulated
It is pure and untainted
Gently nudge them to the path you want them to take
And their pure and untainted aura
Becomes one which is guided
Guided by the guidance of one which cares
Yet life isn't that way
Even when they are gently guided
They become lost
Where will they go?
What will become of them?
Shall thy conform to the ways of the culture?
Or will they become outcast?
Shall they turn to religion?
Or shall they turn to the power within them?
So much choices!
No wonder children get lost in the fray.
And for the few who goes missing
My Hopes go out to you.
For I too
Was almost Lost and Forgotten
