Vocal Lights

Vocal Lights

A Poem by Yoshiyuki

The rays of hope travel through the crevasses
Like a disco in the snow
Small particles rise up for the occasion
Basking in the lights
The souls of the dead
They cry out for the living
Knowing that our end will come
The lights may mesmerize
They may speak to us
They may hint
That beauty will kill
But do we heed them?
Surely not...
For the human race much like cats
Curious.
Thus the lights shower their sorrow
