Bonds

Bonds

A Poem by Yoshiyuki
"

I cherish all the bonds I have created. And I do not sever them. This is taken on someone who has been through the pain of constantly losing people in their life.

"
Someone once asked me
Why do you sever the bonds closest to you?
Bonds are one of the most cherished things in humanity
All bonds must come to an end
If I sever them now
The less painful it will be
I am okay with not having anyone close to me
The loneliness hurts
But losing a bond that has been kept for decades
Now that is painful.
I can only imagine that my mind has created a barrier
It has been crushed far too much.
Then sever our friendship
Sever the bonds that tie us together
It pains me to see you this way
Not even Heaven and Earth can make me sever our bonds
It is one bond I cannot afford to sever
My mind can't seem to push you away
Because...
I love you too much
