The Simple Truth

The Simple Truth

A Poem by Yoga Pramartha

That crack of light upon my eyes,
as I crashed against the road.
It was glowing heavily,
casting a flash that wiped my brain for a little while.
I stood up lifting my feet.
"What was that?"
Another blink shut my eyes,
and I rolled them up again.
I held my breath,
"That was that."
"This is this."
It was that simple.
I tripped and fell.
I might have seen it coming, but
I was on the ground anyway.
The way I saw it,
there was nothing left to speak of.
It was the truth.
the reality that,
of all possible realities,
I wished to avoid the most.
The scenario that might have had played in my mind,
but happened anyway
The simple truth is the one that,
of those many thoughts that pass by our mind,
favored by the great natural power.
One piece of thought, lucky enough to be concretized.
And there went a bitter truth of mine

I recall the day when I sit down alone on the bench underneath an oak tree. That was when I realized that I am an introvert, nature is the only true friend of mine. I see no sillhouette over the sun t.. more..
