Reverse Chance

 Glaring at the vacancy of my tightened space,

I think of you and all the what ifs and might have been,

If only I could race back time and change our case,

I could have studied what my heart feels and “who” it means.

 

I filled my senses of everything about you,

Erasing thoughts inhibited by her,

What if we stole a lifetime of our own?

Will it decrease our tensions and our false lover’s bore?

 

Our domain both locked by heavy chains of unwanted love,

Confused by thoughts of unproven sin by craving you,

How I wish to untie myself and to you I will run,

But the madness in me overflows not to hurt someone cruel.

 

That enticement of your presence that I could not resist,

Makes me ponder of the possible escape,

If only on past circumstances I could cheat,

To be in your side I choose to stay.

 

Seconds hand to turn over unspoken and spoken words,

Minutes back to change mindless feats to worthiness,

Hours back to recreate with you my mistaken world,

Days back to settle all and remove sustained dreariness.

 

Now my pre-occupation alone is you,

And time and great efforts only can tell,

I will give my hardest just to pursue you,

Give me hope, reverse chance to sell.
