The Elephant and I...

The Elephant and I...

A Story by Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin
"

when nature begins to call to us...

"
... There in the pond stood an elephant. It beckoned me to come in. My feet, out of my control, walked into the water. Instinctively, I put my head on his. I felt his breathe, heartbeat and feelings. We were connected. And slowly I heard it. I heard the elephant's voice in my head.

"Your people are killing
This world you are destroying
Ask them to halt
To come together, heart in heart
Conserve and consume what is in need
Refrain from this selfish, destructive deed
Ask them to heed this advise
Ere the world meets its demise"

Then there was nothing, I drifted into unconsciousness...
