This World We Live In...A Poem by Vicky Zhuang Yi-YinI am cold
I am told By those who don’t know me And those who do Say it is envy This is the world we live in People here and there always thinking About what the other is like About what’s in the other’s mind She’s a b***h That’s because she’s rich Say those not acquainted And those who do Say it is misjudged by those nitwits This is the world we live in People here and there always thinking About what the other’s thinking About what’s in the other’s belongings Why don’t they mind their own business? What’s it to them if I’m a princess? It’s not like people flash around their assets It’s not like people want other’s to stare at it This is the world we live in It’s not a bed of roses In other’s businesses People stick their noses This is the world we live in People here and there always thinking And thinking and thinking and thinking © 2010 Vicky Zhuang Yi-YinAuthor's Note
