I agree with Serah...this really is reminiscent of that dark humor genre. Personally, when I first read it, it reminded me of those good old "I'm Tired of the World" songs. Lyrical, almost. The mood of this is so...everyday world. It's mundane--it's something everyone's heard before--but that's why it's accurate.
