Lost Hope

When nothing else seems to work, we've just lost our hope...

I'm shaking hands with insanity
Death has become my new best friend
Life has become my enemy
And happiness has come to an end

I've joined the ranks of profanity
Darkness has adopted me
Light has abandoned me
And sorrows have begun its reign on me

Author's Note

I wrote the first verse in 2007 when I was at my deepest and darkest point in my life, through that verse I was able to let loose some of my sadness and then a few months later in the summer I decided to continue it a bit, and this was the product. I hope you like it.

I liked it, because I can relate to it. Every teenager can--reading the words is like reading the plight of every youth in the world...we're hormonal, at the most emotional period in our lives, stressed out, apathetic, profane, but most of all, confused. It all stems from darkness, lost hope, or not knowing. Whatever you need to call it, they're one in the same. This portrays it well.
