“The blade that traveled
From left to right This blade that left me scarred With my own might Is now the culprit Of my very death” The girl whispered in a slow drone, as if in a trance. Her hair was a curtain in front of her blood-red, tear soaked eyes which were in the middle of dark circles. She took a deep breath and took out her camera. She started taking pictures of her work. Rita smiled. She had not smiled like that for a long time. She bunched her hair that fell on her face behind her ears. She looked much more beautiful now. It was time to break away from her habitual depression. Rita put the camera in her pocket walked towards the bathroom door. Click! She switched off the lights as she closed the door behind her. It was over… © 2010 Vicky Zhuang Yi-YinAuthor's Note
