your beginning

your beginning

A Poem by Yheela

someone in the corner of my eye

made me turn around

your smile had me falling

headlong

clueless you turned to gaze in my direction

your words were balm to my ears

your language was foreign to me

soft and caressing

all others disappeared

only you remained in my world

my words tumbled from my tongue

incomplete sentences about nothing

how do you tell someone that they are the sun?
