A moment in time

A moment in time

A Story by Yheela

The rain drenched her as she watched the bus speed away, if she hadn't tripped on the stairs she'd be on it, on her way to him, a new life. Turning back home, feeling the water squish and slop in her shoes wasn’t anything she looked forward to, but she had to call him.

Maybe he'd come pick her up instead? She hoped he wouldn't be too annoyed, she never meant to miss the bus, and she was just so very clumsy. Without bothering to change into dry clothes she pulled her phone out from her bag, still in pieces from her dropping it when she fell.

"Please don't be broken, please!" The back snapped into place, but no pressing the power button made any difference. It was totally busted. Soaking wet and utterly devastated there was no stopping the sobs racking through her body & she dropped to her knees on the kitchen floor.

Ism curious as to where she was going and why she was leaving. Is the story not complete?
