Shakespeare makes me proud to be British, Great take on the great mans work..I must confess though that I do not know his works as well as I probably should..My mum used to know the plays off by heart....I was a literary failure at school..Preferred football

No I haven't. I'm guessing I should!
We're going to look at scenes from the 1964 (or is it 69?) film and Romeo+Juliet from 1996. I'm betting my silly students will like the all-guns-blazing version more than the "tame" one from the 60's. ^_^

A lovely little piece that feels a little sad as if she is exaspirated and folorn. It is a good use of Romeo and Juliet as a metaphor for disastrous love.

I like this a lot... it's beautiful..and I agree, Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy, no one wants love like this, we all want to be together, not to look at each other with long distance...great work!
