luna

luna

A Poem by Yheela

here, the place where we first met.

footprints, for ever a part of the dust.

no winds over this empty vastness.

mountains' shadow, creeping.

rays of the pale sun disappear.

leaves me in the dark.

cold light of the Milky Way stars.

there, the place where we finally said goodbye.

now, I sail alone across Mare Tranquillitatis.

Very good poetry. The beginning and the sad end of a relationship connected with footprints and dust. Very clever.

A moon to behold my warrior with armoured breast. A lovely and intellegent piece as always from one of my forever poets. Would the line 'no winds over is empty vastness' not make more sense as 'no winds over this empty vastness' ?
