you think you're a god and you're absolutely right

you think you're a god and you're absolutely right

A Poem by Yheela
"

out & about

"
the winning smile is already in place when you slide up to me.
in the back light, it's easy to mistake you for Apollo.
the hair is exactly as it should be and the shoes are just right.
you buy me drinks, smart mouth comments, a few beers down already.
on the dance floor you busts all your moves.
Saturday Night Fever meets the Clone Wars - waves of destruction, no one was left standing.

in the strobe light you can be confused with Poseidon.
the music shifts into something slow.
your arms slide around me and you smile your most charming smile
before your hand pinches my butt.

in the dark, you transform into Hades.
you whisper words in my ear.
stick your tongue in.
want me to follow you home.
my blood stirs.
dangerous boys are the most entertaining.

we're waiting for a taxi.
in the street light you're seen in all your divinity.
you think you're a god and you're absolutely right.
without all the disco lights there's no mistaking.
Dionysus vomits on my shoes just when the taxi arrives.

but a god's still a god ...

well this just oozed out didn't it?A man has to be encouraged in order for him to feel he is divine...so you are to blame very slightly...this was a great story told in a humorous and caring style...

Thank you. :-)
So what did you do? Don't dare leave the story untold. I hope you didn't because Gods come in many guises and he was no God but in physique!
Love the piece though; so descriptive though sad that you would feel so insecure as to allow him to make you feel so inadequate and mesmerised. That is also my weakness.
