grains of time
A Poem by
Yheela
why is time so hard to hold on to.
I tried breaking the hourglass.
holding the sands of time in my hand.
but it kept running through my fingers.
the tighter I made my grip, the faster it got away.
I cut my fingers on the broken glass.
can't put time back.
it's lost to me.
forever.
these last few grains only give me time to regret.
everything.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. ^_*
Time, the more we fight to hang on to it, the faster it slips away. The more we fight against time, the less we sometimes see the changes in us - changes that often are good and necessary as we grow, if we are to grow.
Great work :)

It's forever interesting to me how our identity and priourities change as we go through the chapter of the life cycle.

Yes, I find it comforting to know that I *will* change - I hope to change, and grow.
