Red

Red

A Poem by Yheela
"

my love is like a red red planet

"
come.
follow my footsteps in the red sand.
come.
before the sand storm blurs my outlines.
I want to pick red roses. bind me a wreath.

come.
we'll walk along the dunes, like we did at mare tranquillitatis.
come.
the colony is far away.
I'll pick red roses. put them in your hair.

come.
follow my song.
come.
the thin atmosphere will soon steal my voice.
pick me red roses. adorn my hair with flowering rubies.

come.
let's get lost on the red planet.

and in its dust

Yes, hopefully.
I liked this because of its outer worldliness...It also reminded me of one of my favourite lines of all time by the great Joni Mitchell...Pardon me for enlightening you. she is one of the greatest singing poets of all time..

Just before our love got lost you said; "I am as constant as the northern star"
I said
"Constantly in the darkness; where is that at? If you want me I'll be in the bar.
