I try very hard not to show you how I really feel. 
I’m not ready to lay my heart open for everyone to see, 

for if you won’t love me back 

the whole world will see me 
fall 
apart. 

If only I know the true extent of my feelings, 
I only burn on the inside; 

I’ll not spread any ashes when you break my heart.
