Howl

For the lone wolf in my life..

I hear him

He’s right outside my door

I've seen him in a dream

I've heard his sorrowful howl

 

He cries out to me

Begging to be heard

To be loved

To be..

 

I run to him

But he turns away slowly

He’s scared of me

He’s broken..

 

I stand there waiting

Waiting for him to trust me

I’ll wait here forever

If I must..

 

He lets out another sorrowful howl

It shakes me to my core

My soul quivers

It begs me to follow him..

 

I’ll do what I must

To win your trust

One day you’ll see

I’m always here, waiting..

 

He paces back and forth

Lost in thought

He stares me down

He howls again..

 

I run to him, I run to you

My arms are open to you

Let me hold you

Let me take away the pain inside..

 

I have much to give,

Little to take

I hope you see the light in me

In you, in us..

 

I promise to be gentle and true

For you and only you

I’ll love till the end

Aw that is so touching! The endearing way she’s loyal & patient. Knowing she has to be patient & gain trust slowly. Like two broken pieces that fit together & mend each other.
