Colors of Life

Poem I wrote sometime my senior year of high school. I had forgotten about it sometime until I found it on an old blog of mine.

 

Blue is more than color to some

Blue is pride, blue is numb

Blue is a feeling that should never be felt

Blue can’t be controlled or helped

 

Red is more than color, its fate

Red is love, red is hate

Red is confused, but it’s not chosen unwisely

Red demands to be seen, it seems to scream “Try me”

 

Green is a giver of life, or it gives stupidity

Green is, some believe, nothing but serenity

Green is a drug, green is new life

Green can take away your fortunes or help you through the night

 

Yellow is leading, yellow is survival

Yellow is the sun at an early morning revival

Yellow is fear, scared of the trials of life

Yellow is everything to be felt in life

 

Life is beautiful, when seen in the right color

Life is dead for me, but alive for others

Life is awaiting me, when I cross that river

Life is beautiful, but still it makes me quiver
