ReadyA Poem by Yellowpinch
A ring of petals on the ground
Oleander's splendour bows her head Summer is on its way out though it scarcely flexed its muscles in a land once parched but now refreshed. Cat walks by, sleek but unfriendly though it has a bell, and a home somewhere. Magpie comes to say good morning but leaves today without a conversation. Come autumn, come lovely, in the cool of the morning - a yellow leaf falls from the walnut tree - It's time for a new season with new hope and new beauty. It's time - come autumn, come lovely, to me. © 2015 YellowpinchAuthor's Note
