The Aftermath of Leading Me on on the Twentieth of September

The Aftermath of Leading Me on on the Twentieth of September

A Poem by Initium
"

Contains the f word.

"
I miss the secret.
I miss you shadowed.
I miss the life,
but I don't miss the tears.
I don't miss what is now
forgotten.

Didn't you invite me in?
Or did you forget
the twentieth of September?
I'm telling you now.
Oh, yes, I remember.

I remember you dancing.
I remember a fear of skating.
I remember you standing with me.
"Where's you ride?" and waiting.
"Has it happened," Mom asked. "Are you dating?"

No, Mom, it'll never happen.
He doesn't like me.
"You're a f*****g great person,
but I don't want to ruin
what we already have.
Understand?"
I never did and I never will.
