I Am...

I Am...

A Poem by Initium

I am not a realtor, nor Lee Murphy.
I wonder if there's something higher to hold me.
I hear loud 'ha's and screams from my classmates,
I see more love than I do hate.
I want to step on the soil of the great Holly,
I am not a realtor, nor Lee Murphy.

I pretend to be characters in acts,
I feel the fiction bleeding into the facts.
I touch my audience, twice so far,
I worry that I cannot come up to par.
I cry when loved ones die, not family.
I am not a realtor, nor Lee Murphy.

I understand the chances for fame are slim,
I say that for myself, I can fend.
I dream of repeating some scripted lines,
I hope that in the future, I'm happy, not fine.
I am not a realtor, nor Lee Murphy.

Oh, I think I get it. Perhaps. It's kind of like denying yourself. I am not Lee Murphy. You want to be someone else. Well atleast that's how I think. Great job.
