I'm Scared

I'm Scared

A Poem by WisdomGarden120

I'm Scared
I'm scared,
I'm scared of the darkness
I'm scared of the light
I'm scared of the thoughts
that surface at night
I'm scared of the future
I'm scared of the past
I'm scared of the loved ones
who I have made mad
I'm scared of pleasure
I'm scared of pain
I'm scared of the things
I once had to gain
I'm scared of tomorrow
I'm scared of today
I'm scared of the hours
and minutes that fade
I'm scared of death
I'm scared of life
I'm scared of the people
who I have caused strife
I'm scared to be lonely
I'm scared to be loved
I'm scared of the person
they say is above
I'm scared that my dreams
are destined to fail
I'm scared to believe
that people won't bail
I'm scared to be happy
I'm scared to be sad
I'm scared that neither
exist to be had
I'm scared to be weak
I'm scared to be strong
I'm scared if I'm either
that I will be wrong
I'm scared of the doctors,
the dentist,
of clowns,
I'm scared of people
who I see in crowds
I'm scared of silence
I'm scared of noise
I'm scared of girls
and I'm scared of boys
I'm scared of the world
its wars and its hate
I'm scared for the ones
people choose to berate
I'm scared to be different
I'm scared to fit in
it seems that either is considered a sin
Life is a fun house
made all of mirrors
Making a wrong turn...
leads to our fears
It's always misleading
it's always a joke
This is the thing
that scares me the most
