Demons

Demons

A Poem by WisdomGarden120

Demons
I abandoned my soul today,
left it at the bus stop
in the pouring rain

I just ran away
hearing it cry like a child
who now can't find it's way

I should feel sorrow,
and I should feel shame
but I hear a calling,
and it's screaming my name

Evil is Beauty,
Beauty is Sadness,
Sadness is Loving,
that breaks and it bends us
Loving is Torture,
Torture is Life,
Life is a Roadmap
with foreign street signs

I can't go back,
I can't run away
I'll live with this anger
for the rest of my days

There's evil inside us,
it waits patiently
until we're at our weakest,
and can't turn away

It wraps us in darkness,
and whispers softly
Words of Desire
that were once a mystery

I used to fight,
I used to flee
But these words from my Demons
they understand me

They are not scary,
they are our friends
So go ahead with them,
When they reach for your hand
