BlameA Poem by Eli Davis
I crossed my fingers hoping dreams were better than reality, for in this reality i see the commodity of bodily wounds from under the skin. You broke me in. Like puppetry you played my heart stings to the tune of comedy and i stood here lying to myself about see you differently. I have a history if living in the past so i couldn't see passed the new persona you claimed that you don't have. But, trust me darling i know you and i showed you what its like to be loved. And in some way i feel like i'm one who changed you. I took you and spoiled you with all the right words to make you believe in yourself to show you how beauty you are to me, and took that and used it against me. I spent a lifetime trying to find the feelings i felt when you first kissed me. I know you've forgotten by now by how do you expect me to be like you always shallow and proud, because what HAS will always be-and what WILL will always be a path of uncertainty.
