Affliction

Affliction

A Poem by Yas

Soundlessly I watch you sleep

As we lay still, by dying embers

Motionless

As you leave me breathless

A soundless slumber

Where sleeping solace lies

Wordlessly I breathe you in

As I fill my soul

With the essence of you

Made whole with each gasping breath

I close my eyes

And then as quickly as it came

Our love is gone

In one quick breath

You erase me completly

And my heart waits patiently

For much needed healing

And my heart cries out to deafened ears

You turn away

As I beg you to stay

A painful game of tug-o-war

Fighting for love

Wondering all the while....

Is it really worth it?

So in love

while so in hate

In one complete thought

My addiction

My deadly affliction
