Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by Yarunika
"

About love

"
Your voice is a song
Repeating in my head,
You wrapped yourself around my neck
Like a rope of death.

Your eyes are the world
Mapped out in full,
Daily life, toil and strife,
Fade to a dim lull.

You burrow in my heart,
Ripping me up inside,
Vessels and ties torn and broken,
You’re eating me alive.

My body becomes ruins.
I try to stand but can’t.
That’s what I get for
Loving someone I can’t have.

Hello. I wrote this quite quickly so any suggestion for improvement is greatly appreciated.
I'm never too sure about things like punctuation in poetry - do you think this was set out and punctuated correctly?
Thanks! ^^
