Women: Beautiful Broken Vases

Women: Beautiful Broken Vases

A Poem by Yari_J

All eyes on her
Digging holes in mind,
A place without these monsters, where will she find?

Everything she does gets judged
She feels like a free bird but caged
Took away her voice, her word
Her thoughts and opinions were blurred

Is forced to sacrifice everything for the society
Her dreams are killed under the name of patriarchy.
There is only one answer she is demanding,
' Why always daughters, like animals get domesticate but sons never get educate?'

Always walk nice,
Always talk nice,
Is an unspoken compulsion.
Even one single mistake is seen as a violation.

Every single day in a life of a women is like an exam,
Pass the test or fail with life.
Live like her for a day and you will get the pain.
But for her family she will endure anything she faces,
Because women are like beautiful broken vases

This piece feels like it comes from a male dominated society...where men are free to do what they wish and women are judged and scorned, if they do not abide by society's laws; this is not true in many countries, where men and women have equal standing.... it is interesting to learn what happens to women in some countries.... you show this very clearly in your poem. Thank you for sharing!
Warmly, B
