FleetingA Poem by YanZerosAlive 1/5To my immortal Teacher, Whom I admire Who saves many that seeks Your refuge Growing up trying to be as forgiving as You. After many years of ups and downs I lost my true self, my identity, and my spirit. Strayed away from the path You set upon me, With full of doubts, hopelessness, and fear, Buried, cemented, and unmoving Waiting for the rock to weather Listening only to myself, Feeling only with my emotions, Shutting away from all of Your creations, At the comfort of darkness, I oppressed myself With superficial happiness and contentment Convinced that this is enough for someone like me 'Safety' has become a word of excuse. As I rather choose to stay still in a fleeting life, My vessel denies to accept Your blessings. Yet, like water that seeps through my walls You sent someone that shook my whole being. Brought pain that taught me to breathe a new kind of air, Exposed to light trying to keep on to what's left behind of my deteriorated shell. 12:34, I'll give it a try by taking one step forward.
