A subtle calm weather of December

In long nights waiting in silence was saved

By pure innocent face in deep slumber

Whispers goodnight my dearly beloved

Simple words of care guiding you to dreams

Humming lullabies in sweet melody

Holding close keeping you safe in my arms

Sheltering you to sleep well carelessly

Delve into dreams where fantasies are made

You’re the maker the captain of your ship

Set sail to clouds and live to tell the tale

Of new horizon only you can grasp

Hush; sleep tight sweet dreams my little angel

When the daylight comes I’ll kiss you with smile

Very strong lines here, my favorite.
I felt the poem expressed the motherly love and affection. She sings the child lullaby, hold it close in her arm in warmth and affection. A very sweet poem expressed in simplicity.

Welcome :)
As far as I know, sonnet is a single stanza poem with 14 lines and hass a certain rhyme scheme. Yours is divided into stanzas. The rhyme scheme isn't strictly used- the words "ship" and "grasp" and "angel" and "smile" doesn't rhyme. So technically, it doesn't looks like a sonnet.

If you enjoy doing it...then it is the best thing. All.good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions recollected in tranquility. That's what my Favourite Wordsworth had said. It should be atleast true to you.

These lines made me smile.. Does that really happens in real life? I mean this is a bit dreamy right? But i loved to read this.. You portray the romantic emotions romantically! Good work :)
