Winters

Winters

A Poem by Yam

Frozen Trees, Wet Clothes, Hiding Sun.
Long Passages I walk upon, in dim light.
O Winters, You are Still, you leave me still.
As I smell fire's smoke, from far, All Night.

Dry Leaves, Warm Quilt, Huge White Moon.
Fog Struck Paths, I walk upon, in dim light.
O Winters, You are Cold, you leave me cold.
I can't be up, I can't sleep, All Night.

Closed Panes, Kissing Dew, Twinkling Star.
Semi Wet Roads, I walk upon, in dim light.
O Winters, You Touch, you leave me Touched.
My soul, in Midnight Oil, will burn, All Night.

A Chirp from far, A Marriage Song.
Merge in Air, as I walk upon, in dim light.
O Winters, You bring Thoughts, you leave me in Thoughts.
My Journey of Life, in wet eyes, All Night.

The imagery you've created from your work is so vivid as I read it.
Wonderful work.. Thanks for putting it out here :)

Very lovely. Brilliant really, but, your meter doesn't always match from one stanza to the next and it would be more effective, would be smoother, if it did. (Long passages, has 4 syllables, while Fog struck paths, has 3.) Reading a poem aloud has always helped me with the rhythm. This poem is worth polishing up and getting perfect! You create a wonderful ambiance.
