When God...A Poem by Paul PruettThis piece honoring God has been growing in my head over the last several days.
When God speaks there is a hush over the world.
The still small voice of the Lord whispers.
No crack of thunder nor roar of the sea drowns him out.
When God touches flowers bloom, the sun warms the garden.
My ever present senses come alive.
I am at total blissful peace in his world.
When God holds me nothing on this earth do I fear.
Man nor beast nor creatures of air and fire mean nothing.
I am safe in the cleft of the rock, his hand o’er covering me.
When God listens to my cries, I have the ear of a loving Father.
Ills no matter how small nor large, he nods his head.
“It is alright, my child.” He says with a smile.
When God loves there nothing else left in the world.
All things for good or for ill pass away.
This dirt is but a shadow of the coming glory.
When God disciplines, it is the Father loving his child.
Forever keeping us from harm, even when we know it not.
Ever present, ever watchful, ever caring.
When God calls, I must answer.
For He has only my best in His heart.
He knows what is better for me then I do.
