Requiem For My BelovedA Poem by Paul Pruett
I need her.
From o so far away she calls to my soul.
Reaching down to depths of my heart.
Laying bare that which is dead.
With a touch she brings it to life.
A well-spring of love rising in me
Like none I’ve seen before.
I see her.
Her beauty transcends mere physical.
Her grace comes at me in waves.
I look upon her face with awe and wonder.
She is truly an angel, sent from God.
Soothing the misery of the tired man.
Her mere touch ignites a fire in me.
I touch her.
Her silken flesh is electric to my fingers.
Each curve of her waist.
Each swell of her perfect breast.
Her hair falls in waves at her shoulders.
Her fingers glide over me as we lay together.
I would hold her all of my days.
I love her.
There is a fire she lights in my soul.
The wanting to be with her, only her.
Forever and eternal, letting God bless us each day.
I know that our joy will last always
For this bliss that I feel is only with her.
I can say that I love her now and forever.
