Hear Me, O My Love, as I Cry Unto You.A Poem by Paul PruettThe Muse Graces me once again.
Hear me, O my love, as I cry unto you.
Know that my heart is incomplete.
Its shards await your healing touch.
My battered soul longs for you to save it.
Or the damnation of the long, lonely dark awaits me.
With out you to complete my life I am numb.
Emotionless I exist day after sorely pitiful day.
My life is endless waste of brutal time.
The bleach-white arid sands lay before.
Misery circles wheeling o’er head, waiting.
The lip-cracking winds howls its taunting.
Day and endless night from the high ravaged hills.
Hear me, O my love, as I stretch out my hand.
My fingers groping in the desperate wonder for yours.
I catch all too often the scent of you upon the wind.
My soul howls its insatiable desire.
Sweat beads my brow, sting down my eyes, mixing with tears.
My skin can feel you near, it screams for the slightest touch.
Nothing is left with out you here with me, o love.
Hear me as I cry unto you.
