NeverA Poem by Paul PruettDreams....dreams...dreams....Never again will I fail your heart. Never again will I fail our love. No, never again. She came to me as a dream. An angel, soft on the night wind of sleep. Petal soft were her lips. Creamy silken was her skin. Velvet fire was her touch. Both sadness and joy filled me at her return. I so promise to cherish her the rest of my days. A Goddess is she, blessing me so. I found her again on a walk with the moon. Hand in hand through the damp blades of green. All of my life came flooding back. All the years with her. Oh, so many without. Barren, empty ones without. But no longer, I say. Never again will I fail her heart. Never again will fail our love. No, I say, never.
