Substitute

Substitute

A Poem by Paul Pruett

I long to find her again.

Hold her again.

Make love all night long with her again.

But hope seems to oft gone.

To find her.

Or someone to replace her.

Is that possible?

Can you find perfection twice in one life?

I think not.

There is no replacement for perfection.

Once you have been with a goddess, none can replace her.

None.

So I have to live with failing to find her.

The angel has flown into my life and flown out again.

Perfection, once it has gone, is gone.

Come find me, o perfect one.

I await your return.

I hope you one day meet someone who is as perfect as this angel of yours. This was very touching.

There is no replacement for perfection.

Once you have been with a goddess, none can replace her.

My favorite lines. Keep it up!
