![]() ODE TO TIMEA Poem by Yahya Oulad AouidNightly questions swaying me from my clay A universe so vast that one must dismay, Lightening struck and a being was made A being to be and become what it may, A monstrous tide running for everything to sway A fascinating facade that sinks the day away, For you you man learnt to preach and say To you, man is bound to pledge and pray, Mortal is man yet eternal is thee In you one sees what his destiny be, From you he flees and seldom kneels For if he forgets, you strip him off gentle breeze, You hold his celestial fate of immortal keys If he obliges, you grant him your highest degrees Immortality in gentle ease, or damnation he sees.
