This turned out quite a bit different than anyone could possibly imagine! I have a “mad hatter” hat which I love, but it’s never caused such a stir as all this! *wink! wink!* I love your blend of fun & freaky aspects to describe this mysterious hat-donning lady. Not sure what the hundred-and-one ravens symbolize, but I love the way your poem culminates with such a dynamic sensory surprise! Now I want to write a poem about one of my own crazy hats! I could feel the madness in this, which was emphasized by the way you thoughtfully structured the poem. The imagery is great, especially here: "crimson red slips/down her forehead/a hundred ravens/dancing around the/mad hat". Well written.
