unrequited

A Poem by Yahallo
"

Someone can mean everything to us. They're the colours and painters of our lives. Doesn't mean we mean the same to them...

"
the night sky is black
the layers underneath my eyes as well.
my empty bedroom is black
drops of fluid ink on my letters as well.
the dirt under my nails is black
my shiny shoes as well.
these tears are black
my heartache as well.

her eyes are black
she painted my whole life in black.

i cannot have her
i can have just the black.

Author's Note

Yahallo
Inspired by Werther's love for Charlotte from Goethe's touching book called "The Sorrows of Young Werther". I'd recommend it to everyone. It explores some heavy topics though.
