Silver street...

Silver street...

A Poem by Koi🖤
"

There was a girl who died on silver street...

"
There was a girl who died on silver street
Her hair was tied and her voice discreet
Her neck was bound by a pain so sweet
She dangled lifeless on an echoless beat

Her love ran away, right beside her still
All hope was alive, all but too real
Could've been tears over a bill
No! I deny that, she was ready to kill

Grief lasted long enough to bring ache
Echoes of laughter were all only fake
Her ghost one day did surely wake
But no more the breath of life she could take

There was a girl who died on a night lamp
The air was humid so her skin was damp
Heat from the summer had begun to clamp
Cries from her soul though, nothing could amp...

A story in a poem. A tragic tale of the girl who died on a street lamp in Silver street. The imagery of her dangling sticks in the mind. You narrate this well. A good flow to your lines and end rhyme. Pleased I stopped by. Thanks for sharing.
