White Lies

White Lies

A Poem by Blossom
"

we often tell lies... but sometimes we wish we could take them back

"

Like scentless lilies

you would never have thought

that I was capable of such deceit

what started as a white lie

now something so big

these scentless lilies

now have a scent

uniquely their own...

white lies

they pile up

like flowers without petals

you would never have thought

that a person like me

would be able to lie like this...

this small white lie

told with the purest of intentions

now dyed a color

that I regret

because...

these words I've spoken

belong to someone else

my little white lie

is the truth

not for you

but another...

So full of truth! I like the link to the lilies, adds a strange metaphorical twist to it. :)

Little white lies, we all do it and they do turn into something bigger you can't hide from! Excellent work!!
