Heart

Heart

A Poem by Blossom

Hey Mister,
I need a favor
I have a mission
that you need to finish
Kill him,
however you wish
I just want him drowning
in deepest depths of hell

Well Ma'am,
would you prefer a knife?
let him bleed
as he cries
or a gun
to end it quickly
putting him out of his misery

Well Mister,
she quietly whispers
I want his heart,
put in a canister
bury it deep
he has no need
for such a thing

Well Mister,
tell me why
even when he dies
he's still alive
even when I try to forget

The formal greetings add some comic relief to an otherwise dark poem. But, I love how the murder is spoken about so openly and then the person elaborates on the plan. And the ending just knocked me out. Some people don't leave us even when they're not around...

"Even when he dies, he's still alive." Its like there's a hope or a nagging annoyance. Like u can't seem to get rid of an itch perhaps.

Love this :>

I don't think it's hard to understand, I just think it's a bit mysterious... well written!

The color of your poems makes it hard to read the poem and overall I think it is hard to understand what point of view you are speaking through.

The last Stanza kinda threw me off, the color cordination made me think this would be a reply to the woman, but then it doesn't work out. I think if you read it for what it is you will miss the hidden hurt and pain shown in the last stanza, and with the words used throughout the poem. You were very hurt by someone, and feel retribution is deserved. A great write.

Regards,

Matthew
