This hits close to home for me, because I recently broke up with the love of my life, and I would always tell him, "Ill just pretend I will see you in the morning", so this touches a deep part for me.

The only improvement I can suggest is to add more detail, perhaps even metaphors. It seems a bit plain, its simple and it's good, but I think detail could always make a poem better (don't confuse detail with complication though).
