PrologueA Chapter by AnyaThe sun was shining yet the ice still rose up my finger tips...So cold. So cold. I flicked my head up at the sound of a bird cry. My eyes widened. Why was it so cold? It was like every bone in my body, every beat of my heart was covered in a thin sheen of water. The sun was shining yet the ice still rose up my finger tips. I looked down again, slowly. My hammering heart wasn’t doing its job. “Acacia” I felt a hand on my shoulder. It burnt like red hot iron. “Help” it was no more then a faint whisper but it hurt to move my lips. Hell, it even hurt to think. “Acacia” The same voice soothed “it’s over” I closed my eyes as the words rang through my body… over… over. I felt like I needed to be sick, or like acid was spinning a web around my throat. It’s over. Red, all I could see was red, scarlet like twisting ribbons, streaking in front of my eyes. Over. Over. So cold. So cold. © 2009 AnyaAuthor's Note
