What our heart desires?

What our heart desires?

A Poem by Anya

Moving in the gap

Looking through the glass

Cool and icy

Icy and cool

We have no reason to be afraid

Heart beats slowly

Slow

Slower

The vulture circles ever nearer

And the soft whinny of the horse

Tapped in the dark wooden box

Begging to gallop over sun kissed hills

With not a cloud in the sky

Heart beats slowly

Slow

Slower

A laugh of children in the park

Echoes through the dusty day

Like a candle flickering in the wind

Refusing to be put out

A rainbow arching high

Colours singing sweet songs

Heart beats slowly

Slow

Slower

Music threads

Through the velvet sky

Dancing between the stars

Heart beats slowly

Slow

Slower

Centering is key to contemplative meditation. This poem captures the experience with metaphors and mental moods. Thank you!
