I'll Wait For You

I'll Wait For You

A Poem by XxtaintedxX

I see you standing there
With that look upon your face
Lost and scared
Feeling out of place

You didn't know you had a place
Nestled right here in my heart
It may not be much
But it gives you a start

I just want you happy
Even if it's not with me
I've loved you since day one
Can't you just see?

I've waited for a lifetime
Too slowly catch your eye
And I'll keep on waiting
Even gravity can't defy

I'm ready when you are
I've been here all along
I know I mess up sometimes
But I won't do anythig wrong

I find it hard to imagine
The pain they put you through
Your not the only one
I do it too

It kills me to see you with them
The tears dare escape
But my heart continues to grow
Into a new shape

It's where yours fits perfectly
Like two molds
You were always a treasure
With a heart full of gold

I'll say it once
And I'll say it again
I love you now
Let's not pretend

Great poem! The words came right from the heart, which is important. The only thing that I saw was 'Too slowly catch your eye'. Believe 'too' should be 'to'. Other than that, it was a excellent read.
