"She's Over It"

I keep feeling this..

Days pass

I start to forget about you

 

Weeks pass.

I'm getting the hang of you being gone now.

 

One month exactly.

Pain.

 

One month, One week

I see her post

 

"One month(: And many more to come((: I love you babe!"

                                "(: I love you too"

Pain

It courses through me

 

Why?

 

I keep thinking

                              "That should be me.."

It's not.

 

Pictures of you

With her

 

Burns my eyes

 

Tears fill to the brim

Daring to escape

 

Choke them back down

Be strong

 

Don't let them know you hurt..

No one can know..

 

But someone always knows..

 

Smile

Laugh

 

Don't cry

They need you

 

They need you to be strong

You can't let them down

 

Tears

 

I tried not too...

I tried

 

That's all I can do right?

 

It's your fault

Do you even know how I feel?

 

Even know my pain?

See the scars?

No? Didn't think so

 

You can ask anyone.

They'll tell you

 

But they'll say

                                "She's over it"

 

She's not over it...

She'll never

                         "Be over it"

It's sad too...

 

Because all she ever did..

Was love you.

And sadly

 

She still loves you

Such a sad poem! But that's good, because it makes the reader not only relate but sympathize (sp?) with the speaker. Although luckily I have not been in this position myself, I can only imagine what it would be like thanks to this poem and others. Well done.
