I was right to be scared

I knew you wouldn't play fair

I let you hold my heart in your hands

But I never knew your plans

Never knew I was just some girl

That you just wanted to give a whirl

I hate how I was right

It's hard to believe because we'd never fight

I hoped you'd be different from the rest

Although I tried to be my best

But it wasn't good enough for you

I was hoping this wouldn't be true

Now I'm filled with such regret

But futures already locked and set

I was so unprepared

It makes me wonder if you ever cared

I don't know how to feel

It's hard to believe this is even real
